Dojindo Laboratories traces its origins to Dojindo Pharmaceutical Chemical Research Institute, founded in 1946, and today serves researchers worldwide as a manufacturer of research reagents. Supported by researchers, partners, our local community, and every employee who shares our purpose, we will mark our 80th anniversary in November 2026. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to our journey.

Our story began in the uncertain years following the war, when we applied our strengths in organic synthesis to provide essential goods in short supply, including pharmaceuticals and artificial sweeteners. From there, our work expanded steadily—from water-quality testing reagents such as chelate titration and colorimetric reagents to biochemical buffers and a broad range of biochemical reagents.

Through this evolution, we have become a company committed to supporting fundamental research. Today, some of our products also contribute as raw materials for clinical diagnostics and pharmaceuticals, extending their impact beyond the laboratory.

Our corporate creed is “To realize a brilliant future with a frontier spirit.” At the forefront of research, there are moments when existing reagents and instruments cannot provide the answers researchers are seeking. To mark our 80th anniversary, we have adopted our corporate slogan: “Empowering Discoveries through Reagents.” This reflects our hope to support and contribute to the discoveries of researchers around the world. As we look ahead, Dojindo Laboratories will continue to move forward alongside researchers, contributing steadily to new possibilities through chemistry.
