Product DescriptionAequorin is a luminescent protein that contains coelenterazine as a luminescent compound. Since aequorin emits luminescence by calcium conjugation, it is used for intracellular calcium ion detection. However, coelenterazine has poor water solubility under physiological conditions, and it is adsorbed to cell membranes. Dojindo’s Coelenterazine-WS is a β-cyclodextrin complex of coelenterazine with drastically improved water solubility at neutral pH. Chemical Structure References 1. K.
